Currently available are all types (I-II-III) of the Richmond Depot jacket. The Richmond Depot jacket is generally made using your choice of Ben Tart, Family Heirloom Weavers, or County Cloth material, lined in osnaburg. Type III jackets can be made of English kersey, though they may also be made of jeancloth. All jackets are hand-topstitched in naturally-dyed thread, but machine topstitching is available upon request. Of course, buttonholes are handsewn. The buttons are either reproduction Federal Eagle "I" buttons, Confedereate "script I" buttons, or one of our exclusive intricately-engraved civilian metal buttons, as seen above on a recent Richmond Depot Type II jacket we recently made for a customer. The fabric in the sample is Ben Tart #10JJ, which will fade to tan over time.
